Isn’t
work supposed to be work?
Did
anyone ever think it was meant to be fun? Maybe not before…but today there are employee engagement training professionals who claim that happy employees foster business success, especially in a customer-facing industry.
Smiles
do matter say the experts. Smiles show that you aim to please your customers
and also that you enjoy what you do. Positive attitudes reflect employees’
satisfaction with their jobs and build team spirit…both of which contribute to
business results.
Yes,
there is a direct connection between a happy, engaged work force and a happy,
successful company. Skills can be taught but attitude is inherent. Employees
who enjoy one another and have fun at work are more likely to stay put. They
are also higher performing. They try harder because they identify with their
team mates and the team goals.
It
all boils down to believing that a happy workplace is a productive workplace.
