The
question is a simple one. But one that
must be asked with a genuine intention to listen well and make some changes if
needed.
The
question?
Ask your employees
regularly, “Are you happy with your work?” And then follow up with, “What can I
do to improve your job satisfaction?”
It does not take an employee engagement training expert to understand that, unless you check in with your employees on a regular basis, you could miss their shift from job satisfaction to job dissatisfaction. Not only could they disengage and
infect others around them, but they could also leave and you would then have a
hole to fill.
By
asking the question and then listening carefully, you can prevent unwanted
turnover, show your team that you support them and encourage their improved
performance.
The
impact? A more fulfilled team and better business results. Make the question a
consistent part of your management system.
